On October 4, 2011, John Jonassen passed
away at the age of 61. John lived a full life; he had a Masters in
Horticulture, spoke seven languages and excelled in the Arts. Born in
Denmark, John worked for years with the UN living in both Africa and S.
America. He later settled in Fresno where he raised two children. He
worked for 30 yrs in the horticulture industry in Ca and was a member
of the Orchid Society and Bridge Club. John is survived by his
children, Kristian and Marianne; his mother; two sisters in Denmark. A
Memorial Service will be held at 3855 N. Bryan, Fresno, on Monday,
October 10, 2011, at 10:00 a.m.
